George's 6th album, his second Irregular Records release, represents a number of departures from his "norm". Not only does it include his first non-self-penned song, but it also leads down a number of different musical paths: rock, blues, calypso, Greek, as well as some in his more usual style. But they all circle around the same subjects that are closest to his heart, namely the struggle of individuals to make ends meet and maintain dignity and relationships in an increasingly hostile world. Collaborators include Saskia Tomkins, Miranda Sykes, Mary Humphreys & Anahata, Jonny Dyer & Vicki Swan, Chris Green & Jude Rees of Isambarde, John Thompson & Nicole Murray (Cloudstreet), Robb Johnson, Chris Flegg, Jeff Hinds and Dan Waller.
