People often call me names and say that I'm a fool Just because I walk the streets all day and like to sing a song. I don't wear many clothes and I am barefoot as a rule But I know that I am right and everybody else is wrong. Worry, sorrow, problems have I none My day is all my own and I have no need to run So call me what you like and have your little fun Just as long as I can sing and I can have a beer on you, Sir. When I'm feeling peckish, I don't have to look too far, I only have to knock on the back door of any restaurant. When I'm feeling thirsty, I will ask you for a jar; Just because I haven't paid, it doesn't taste no different.
