NEWS OF MARY O'CONNOR:
Mary collapsed on Monday 26th July during our open evening, with what appeared to be a blocked artery (later ruled out) or cardiac arrest of some sort. Thanks to the immediate attention of club members and the emergency services she has recovered however. She is now in Harefield Hospital and is doing well, is cheerful & talking about Monday's club night. (27 July 2010)
Although biased towards traditional song, the club books a wide range of singers and musicians, and on Open Evenings we enjoy a variety of musical styles, but with one common denominator: We love wrapping our tonsils around a good chorus - Herga's "Wall of Sound" is world famous.

There is normally one guest a month (occasionally more when people are on limited tours) interspersed with Singers' Nights (when everyone has a chance to perform). In addition we have the occasional optional Theme Nights, a Charity fund raising night, a Carol Singing outing, and on Boxing Day the Herga Mummers continue the tradition based on the Middlesex Plays.

Regular singers include Kitty Vernon, Graeme Knights, Bob Hambleton, Mike Sparks, Mary O'Connor, Joyce Squires, George Papavgeris, Steve Last, Christine Connolley, John Breeze and our compere George Clarke.
